Nostalgia has a funny way of distorting things from our past. I picked up this title with fond memories of my cousins and I spending hours in front of a thirteen inch t.v. While time isn't kind to many things, I can assure that this game still pleases if only to feel a bit more repetitive in today's gaming arena. The objective is pretty straight forward. Get papers in mailboxes and on doorsteps, avoid windows, and anything that will dismount you from your pedal powered machine. When successful, you gain new subscribers. Eventually moving onto more complex streets with new foes and more challenging house shapes. It's a blast besting a friend in two player, or just seeing if you can get just a bit farther than your last attempt. The only real complaints are moot. First the controls are fairly stiff, making some maneuvers a little more difficult than should be. This is exacerbated by the fact that collision detection can be a bit off, at times leading you to crash when you were sure that the path was sound. Second, the game is not extremely deep. Which is common amongst the 8 bit era, so it's more of a reminder of how far we've come rather than a complete disappointment. Despite this, a very solid title and guaranteed to provide fun for those looking back, or even first time paper people. Highly recommended.Read full review
Its awesome because its paperboy 2 for the Nintendo. The bad is if you miss all the houses you get paperboy fired.
